We are very pleased to list this beautiful Sea Otter. Built with care and attention to detail from the design to the build. She has a nice deep cockpit and curved decks and you can clearly see the wonderful strip plank and cold moulded woodwork.
She is rigged as a lug yawl, with main and mizzen. The tiller is a superb example of the craftsmanship that goes into these boats. It has been shaped to fit around the mizzen mast, but is also beautifully curved to fit over the stern. The sails are from sailmaker Graham Caws on the Isle of Wight and the cream paint is from Epifanes. There is also a... read more

A GRP moulded Coble, her lines taken from North of England working Beach boats. Professionally fitted out and re rigged in 2003. She is a very solid, stable and safe vessel ideal for exploring muddy estuaries, rivers and lakes. She works well against a prevailing wind and tide, sails like a BIG boat.
At times she can be hard work but always very rewarding. Has gone unused for some considerable length of time, languishing in a Farm barn.
She was registered as a fishing boat at one time working out of Tollesbury, Essex.
CONSTRUCTION: GRP moulded hull, simulated planking. Shallow draft with ... read more

The Post Boat hulls originate from the 1900's post boat which used to deliver post around the Scottish coast. With her beamy hull and shallow draught, these boats are perfect for exploring creeks and coastal inlets, plus they're easy to launch and recover. Simple to rig and short enough to store in your garage at home. Great for teaching a family learning to sail. Sails well in light airs, can also be rowed when the wind dies.
