K1 “Lacewing”, single-handed performance keelboat / dinghy for sale.
A “mini yacht” with a dagger board & lead bulb of ~62kg., yet its all-up weight is little more than a conventional dinghy. The hull is of the latest resin infusion technique to maximise the strength to weight ratio. ‘Rondar’ mouldings, fitted out by Jeff Vanders. Carbon spars.
This slender hull has little resistance even when heeled, is quick and tacks smartly. The self-tacking jib is set on a boom for ease of control & can be sheeted from either side. The self-draining cockpit is deep and comfortable when sitting on the deck edge.
Selden carbon fibre mast, beautifully laid up, carbon boom, jib boom, tiller and extension.
New main halyard [some 4foot longer], twin string bags, two to one on both rudder up and down.
Two sail sets – fat top North set and a very little used set of Hyde’s. All ‘bagged’.
Before you ask, original jib kicker, I actually quite liked it.
Lifting keel with hook-on/off blocks to lower and raise keel easily on the water.
Sale includes: manufacturer’s galvanised road trailer, with mast support, proprietary lighting board and tow-hitch lock. Launch trolley & top cover.
|Length over all:||5m|
