A beautiful Melonseed dinghy. Probably the prettiest dinghy ever designed even though the design dates back to the end of the 19th Century. Originally designed as a duck-hunting boat, the Melonseed is a real go-anywhere boat. It draws only 6 inches with the centreboard up and yet with the board down will easily cope in a strong breeze.
Emerson P comes complete with a fitted cover, oars and cushions. Rig and rudder all stash in the boat for storage. She is a joy to rig, with simple but very effective rope attachments to the mast for the Sprit and Boom. This one has a slight modification to allow adjustment to the sprit tension from the cockpit.
In addition the the standard rig, Emerson P also comes with a smaller training/high wind rig. This includes a mast, spars and and a tan/bark sail, all of the same quality as the full-sized rig.
Emerson P is offered complete with a Trident launch trailer, but no road trailer.
